Ravnar turns a cut list into an optimal layout — grain-aware, kerf-exact, and proven optimal, not just “good enough”. Free, and everything runs on your machine.
Kerf width, edge trim, cut direction, strategy — every parameter of the optimizer is yours to set. Prefer fewer sheet changes on a panel saw? Chasing minimum waste on expensive stock? Flip the strategy and Ravnar re-solves around your priorities, not a fixed heuristic.
Every part carries a grain rule: along its length, across it, or free. The solver never rotates a part against its rule — so veneered fronts match, and rails that are meant to run cross-grain are packed that way deliberately. No re-checking layouts by hand before you cut.
Every usable remainder from a solve is captured automatically — dimensioned, labelled, and added to your stock. The next project draws from the offcut shelf before it touches a fresh sheet. Your rack of “might need it someday” pieces becomes inventory the solver actually uses.
Ravnar solves typical cut lists in well under a second, locally — no upload, no queue. And it’s deterministic: the same cut list and settings always produce the same layout, so the sheet you print Monday is the sheet you cut Friday. When the result is provably optimal, it says so.
Ravnar runs entirely on your machine and costs nothing while in beta. Your cut lists never leave your workshop.
